Dubai, UAE – Funun Arts Group, in partnership with Daftar Restaurant, launched Abstract Connection, a new art exhibition series in Dubai, featuring four prominent international artists. The event, designed as an interactive platform, marks the beginning of a monthly series that combines fine art with community engagement and dialogue.

Unlike conventional exhibitions, Abstract Connection encouraged visitors to interact directly with artists through panel discussions, where they shared their creative journeys, techniques, and inspirations.

The opening was attended by cultural leaders, dignitaries, and art patrons including His Excellency Yaqoob Al Ali, Mohammed Ali, Honorable Sultana Farouq Kazim, Abdullah Al Maainah, Kusum Dutta, Meena Kamal, Rayad Kamal, Sonakshi Goel, Ahmed Al Awadhi, Anjani Prakash Laitu, Abdul Jabbar Weiss, Stefania Pomilo, and Pari Sagar, highlighting the event’s cultural significance.

Honorable Sultana Farouq Kazim described the exhibition as “an experience of the soul,” while Ahmed Al Awadhi noted its role in strengthening Dubai’s art ecosystem. Abdullah Al Maainah praised its celebration of community and cultural diversity.

The featured artists included:

• Rafah Abdul Razzak (Syria) – Known for versatile media exploring resilience and cross-cultural connection.

• Yuvika Garg (India) – Creates vibrant, reflective narratives through color and form.

• Jivan (Armenia) – Abstract Expressionist integrating art into interactive spaces.

• Rita Chehab (Lebanon) – Combines emotional depth with refined technique, showcasing art’s universality.

Abstract Connection will continue as a monthly series, highlighting new artists and themes, fostering cultural dialogue, and promoting inclusive creative platforms.

Founded in 2016, Funun Arts Group connects over 3,000 artists and 1,500 students across the UAE, supporting exhibitions, festivals, and cross-border collaborations aligned with the UAE 2031 vision.

Daftar Restaurant, located in Dubai’s DIFC, merges food, design, and culture, serving as a creative hub where tradition and innovation meet.

The launch of Abstract Connection has set the stage for ongoing artistic engagement in Dubai, providing a platform for conversation, creativity, and cultural exchange.
