Lahore’s traffic police are receiving a fresh look and upgraded tools as Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz approved new uniforms for traffic wardens, effective from February 14, 2026. The updated navy blue and white design aims to improve professionalism and visibility on city roads.
Women traffic wardens will also receive designated scarves and caps as part of the uniform rollout, ensuring inclusivity and consistency across the force.
Along with the new uniforms, the traffic police fleet will include electric patrol vehicles connected to the Safe Cities Authority. These vehicles are expected to reduce fuel costs and support modern traffic management initiatives.
Officials say the modernization efforts will help enhance safety, efficiency, and public confidence in Lahore’s traffic enforcement system.
The initiative reflects a broader push by the provincial government to integrate technology, sustainability, and professionalism into everyday law enforcement operations.
