A deadly drone strike targeted a humanitarian aid convoy in South Kordofan, Sudan, killing at least three aid workers and seriously injuring four others. The convoy was delivering essential food and relief supplies to civilians affected by ongoing violence in the region.
The attack occurred amid intense fighting between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese army, which has destabilized large parts of the country. Aid agencies say the strike has further disrupted critical humanitarian operations.
Officials and humanitarian groups warned that continued attacks on relief workers are worsening Sudan’s humanitarian crisis, leaving thousands without access to food, medical care, and shelter. Calls have been renewed for the protection of humanitarian personnel and safe access to conflict-affected communities.
