Amruta Fadnavis Defends Her Attire Amid Online Backlash at Beach Cleanup

Amruta Fadnavis Defends Her Attire Amid Online Backlash at Beach Cleanup

Post by : Saif Rahman

Amruta Fadnavis, the spouse of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, recently shared her experience regarding online trolling over her fashion choices. She made her remarks during an interview on Curly Tales’ YouTube channel on November 9. This discussion followed criticism regarding her outfit during a beach cleanup event in Mumbai.

The cleanup, known as Sea Shore Shine 2025, occurred at Juhu Beach after the Ganesh Visarjan festival and aimed to remove litter while promoting beach cleanliness. Amruta participated alongside actor Akshay Kumar, community volunteers, and environmental organizations.

Notably, rather than recognizing the effort to clean the beach, many social media users fixated on her attire. Amruta donned a beige fitted co-ord outfit, which some commenters deemed too similar to gym wear and inappropriate for the setting. Criticism of her look overshadowed her meaningful contributions to the event.

When asked about her feelings on the matter, Amruta revealed she has faced trolling previously. While some comments affected her, it wasn't about the clothing but rather that they detracted from the critical cause she was championing. She articulated that the event's goal centered on raising awareness about waste management, pollution, and environmental cleanliness, and she strived to make a significant impact.

She further conveyed her belief that actions signify more than appearance. Amruta hopes the individual's focus shifts to the proactive initiatives and the positive impact they can foster. Although initial remarks disturbed her, she resolved to focus on her responsibilities and not let negativity deter her.

According to her, the lesson was clear: while criticism is inevitable, remaining devoted to one's objectives holds greater value. She affirmed that steadfastness and commitment can convey a message stronger than any negative commentary.

This situation underscores a broader issue where public figures, particularly women, often face scrutiny for their appearance over their contributions. Amruta’s response accentuates the importance of valuing genuine efforts for social improvement instead of fixating on physical presentation.
