Dhurandhar Crosses ₹500 Crore Worldwide, Ranveer Singh Spy Thriller Smashes Records

Dhurandhar Crosses ₹500 Crore Worldwide, Ranveer Singh Spy Thriller Smashes Records

Post by : Rameen Ariff

Ranveer Singh’s latest spy thriller Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has taken the Indian box office by storm, crossing the ₹500 crore mark worldwide in just ten days. The film, which released to mixed reviews, has exceeded all expectations with its massive audience response, making it one of the biggest hits of 2025.

The film saw a spectacular second Sunday, earning ₹59 crore net in India alone and taking its second weekend domestic total to ₹144.50 crore, a 40% jump from the first weekend. In just ten days, Dhurandhar has accumulated ₹351.75 crore net (₹422 crore gross) in India, and its momentum indicates it could easily cross ₹400 crore and ₹500 crore domestically, with the potential to approach the rare ₹600-crore benchmark.

Overseas, the film initially faced a slow start but quickly gained traction through positive word of mouth. According to trade sources, Dhurandhar has earned over $12 million in the international market, including $4.5 million during its second weekend. The film’s global box office collection now stands at an impressive ₹530 crore.

This milestone has allowed Dhurandhar to surpass the lifetime collections of several major films in recent years, including Rajinikanth’s Coolie (₹518 crore), Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki (₹470 crore), Hrithik Roshan’s War (₹449 crore), and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise (₹365 crore). Among 2025 releases, only three films remain ahead of it in global collections: Kantara Chapter One (₹852 crore), Chhaava (₹808 crore), and Saiyaara (₹579 crore).

Starring alongside Ranveer Singh are Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, with the film combining high-octane action, espionage, and drama. Despite mixed critical reviews, audience appreciation and repeat viewership have propelled Dhurandhar to become one of the most successful Hindi films of the year, breaking records for second-weekend collections and solidifying Ranveer Singh’s reputation as a leading actor in the industry.

The combination of gripping storytelling, star-studded performances, and strong word-of-mouth has made Dhurandhar a must-watch spy thriller, capturing audiences both in India and overseas. With its current trajectory, it is poised to climb even higher on the list of top-grossing Indian films globally, further cementing its place as one of 2025’s biggest cinematic successes.
