On Sunday morning, a serious vehicle accident occurred west of Selkirk, Manitoba, resulting in at least one individual being airlifted to a Winnipeg hospital.
Emergency air ambulance services arrived at the intersection of Highway 8 and Highway 67 (Fort Garry Road) around 10 a.m. One patient was moved to the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, though details regarding their condition remain undisclosed.
Authorities have not shared any information about the accident's cause or whether other vehicles or parties were involved.
Following the incident, the intersection, temporarily closed for emergency response, was reopened by early afternoon. Motoring public was informed to anticipate possible delays as cleanup took place.
