A late-night brawl at a Domino’s Pizza outlet in Glassboro, New Jersey, spiraled out of control early Sunday morning when two men allegedly attacked a police officer with a chair. Authorities say the violent incident unfolded around 2:44 am, after police were called to break up a large altercation inside the restaurant.
According to the Glassboro Police Department, officers arrived at the Domino’s following reports of a “massive brawl” involving several individuals. As officers tried to restore order and make arrests, two male suspects — one wearing a gray jacket and another in a light blue sweatshirt — picked up a red chair and threw it at an officer, striking him in the back of the head.
The scene, captured on surveillance footage, shows a chaotic crowd of customers — some in Halloween costumes — standing on tables, shouting, and filming the fight on their phones. The footage then captures the moment the two suspects hurled the chair before fleeing the restaurant amid the confusion.
In an official statement, Glassboro Police confirmed that the injured officer was treated at the scene and is expected to recover. The department released still images of the two suspects from the surveillance video and appealed to the public for assistance in identifying them.
“While officers were making multiple arrests, two males picked up a chair and threw it at our officers, striking one in the back of the head,” the department wrote on Facebook. “Not only was this intentional, they found it extremely hysterical while they ran from the scene. We need your help in identifying them.”
The suspects, described as two Black males — one wearing a gray jacket and the other a light blue sweatshirt — remain at large. Authorities have urged anyone with information about the individuals or the incident to contact the Glassboro Police Department immediately.
The department has also posted a video of the brawl on its official social media pages, hoping that the public can help identify the attackers.
The shocking New Jersey Domino’s brawl has sparked conversations about late-night violence and public safety, particularly in college towns like Glassboro, home to Rowan University. Police have increased patrols in the area to prevent further disturbances.
