The mystery surrounding Naagin 7’s lead actress has finally been solved. Ekta Kapoor officially announced that television star Priyanka Chahar Choudhary will headline the upcoming season of her hit supernatural series Naagin. The big reveal took place during Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode, hosted by Salman Khan, where Priyanka made a grand entry alongside Ekta Kapoor to confirm her new role.
For months, speculation had been rife about who would play the next shape-shifting serpent in Balaji Telefilms’ most popular franchise. Putting rumors to rest, Ekta Kapoor surprised fans with a dramatic announcement, confirming that Priyanka will take over the Naagin legacy in the much-anticipated Naagin 7.
Speaking about her new role, Priyanka shared her excitement and gratitude, saying, “I still remember when Ekta ma’am told me during Bigg Boss 16 that she had found her next Naagin. To see that moment turn into reality is a dream come true. Being part of this iconic franchise is an honor, and I’ll give it my all to do justice to the character.”
She added that stepping into the Naagin universe is more than just another acting opportunity—it’s a responsibility. “Some roles demand more than performance; they demand your spirit. Playing Naagin is a legacy role, and I’m beyond grateful to Ekta ma’am, Colors TV, and the entire team for trusting me with this chance,” she said.
Naagin 7: A New Chapter Begins
Produced by Balaji Telefilms, Naagin 7 promises a fresh storyline, thrilling twists, and stunning visual effects. While the rest of the cast remains under wraps, fans are eagerly waiting to see who will join Priyanka in this mystical saga.
Since its debut in 2015, the Naagin franchise has captivated viewers with its powerful women leads, dramatic storytelling, and supernatural elements. Previous seasons featured popular names like Mouni Roy, Adaa Khan, Tejasswi Prakash, and Simba Nagpal. Each season introduced a new cast and storyline, keeping audiences hooked with its unique blend of myth, fantasy, and revenge.
With Priyanka Chahar Choudhary stepping into the titular role, expectations are sky-high. Her massive fan base from Bigg Boss 16 and Udaariyaan has already started celebrating the announcement, making Naagin 7 one of the most anticipated TV releases of 2025.
