The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia has declared its complete readiness to assist fans traveling to Qatar for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, scheduled from December 1 to 18. With thousands of supporters set to journey from the Kingdom, the directorate has bolstered its services to facilitate a seamless travel experience.
In anticipation of the influx of travelers, the Passports Department has augmented the number of trained personnel at Salwa Port, the primary land crossing with Qatar. Advanced technical systems have been implemented to expedite passport verification and entry processes. These enhancements aim to minimize wait times, ensuring fans reach their destination efficiently.
Citizens are reminded to verify the validity of their passports prior to departure. Travelers should ensure their passports are valid for at least three months for trips to any Arab nation, including Qatar, and six months for international travel beyond Arab countries. Prompt renewal of passports is recommended to avoid delays at border checkpoints.
For those traveling to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations, the Passports Department emphasized essential regulations. Travelers must possess either a valid passport or a national ID card. Documents such as family registers or digital IDs through platforms like Absher or Tawakkalna are not valid for international journeys, as they are intended for domestic use only.
The directorate urged travelers to plan their itineraries in advance, safeguard their travel documents, arrive at borders punctually, and adhere to all directives from border authorities. The department will oversee travel procedures during the tournament and provide any necessary assistance to ensure a smooth passage.
Saudi Arabia seeks to offer its citizens a secure and pleasant travel experience while attending the Arab Cup matches. With increased personnel, upgraded technology, and meticulous attention to travel regulations, the General Directorate of Passports strives to make the journey to Qatar quick, smooth, and hassle-free. Fans can anticipate enjoying the tournament while the authorities ensure the efficiency of all entry and exit processes.
