UAE, Chad Leaders Strengthen Ties at Abu Dhabi Summit

Abu Dhabi – UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Chad’s President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi to review and strengthen bilateral relations. The high-level meeting highlighted shared commitments to fostering economic growth, trade partnerships, and development initiatives between the two nations.

During the discussions, both leaders explored opportunities for collaboration across several key sectors, including renewable energy, economic development, and investment. Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to enhancing partnerships with African countries, emphasizing the importance of joint initiatives to promote sustainable progress and shared prosperity.

President Déby attended the UAE–Chad Trade and Investment Forum as part of his working visit, which served as a platform to launch the ‘Chad Connection 2030’ national development plan. He noted that the forum marked significant progress in expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and investment, and laid the groundwork for future economic collaboration.

The UAE–Chad engagement underlines both countries’ commitment to deepening ties and creating new opportunities for growth, innovation, and sustainable development across sectors crucial to long-term regional stability.
