Al Ain's Thriving 'Where Life Pulses' Event Welcomes 22,000 Attendees

Post by : Badri Ariffin

The Abu Dhabi Department of Community Development (DCD) has triumphantly wrapped up the inaugural phase of its “Where Life Pulses” initiative, which took place from April 10 to 12, 2026, at Al Aamerah Park in Al Ain.

This three-day gathering drew over 22,000 attendees, underscoring its effectiveness in enhancing social connections and fostering a sense of community. The program was centered on uniting local residents through various interactive and inclusive activities for people of all ages.

A standout feature during the event was the enthusiastic involvement of children and young entrepreneurs from Al Aamerah and surrounding areas. Supported by their families, these young participants launched small business projects, gaining invaluable experience that bolstered their confidence and nurtured entrepreneurial skills.

The event boasted a multitude of activities, including eight hands-on educational workshops, five engaging community games, and a selection of six food and beverage trucks. These experiences offered a lively and family-centric setting, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and a collective sense of belonging among participants.

Mohammed Hilal Al Balooshi, Executive Director of the Community Engagement and Social Empowerment Sector at DCD, remarked that the initiative showcases an inventive method for enhancing social unity and empowering local youth. He stressed the crucial part families play in fostering children’s growth and reinforcing community values.

Fatema Abdulrahman Al Hosani, Director of the Social Cohesion Sector at DCD, noted the initiative’s commitment to offering young individuals practical avenues for entrepreneurial exploration and community involvement while reinforcing families as essential partners in developmental progress.

The “Where Life Pulses” initiative is part of DCD’s larger vision to convert public areas into vibrant community centers that stimulate creativity, enhance living standards, and bolster social relationships.

This event was executed in collaboration with various key partners, including the Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, and the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, all of whom played integral roles in venue support, outreach, and funding.
