This 5-day itinerary leads you through southern Jordan, showcasing ancient landmarks alongside thrilling desert experiences and moments of tranquility.

  • Discover the Amman Citadel for sweeping views of the city.

  • Visit the historic Roman Theater, a remarkable structure from the 2nd century.

  • Indulge in mansaf, the national dish featuring lamb, rice, and yogurt sauce.

Stay overnight in Amman to recharge for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Madaba, Mount Nebo & Journey to Petra

Set off on a scenic drive along the King’s Highway, an ancient trade route steeped in history.

Key Stops:

  • Madaba: Renowned for its 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land.

  • Mount Nebo: Believed to be the location where Moses glimpsed the Promised Land.

  • Shobak Castle: A Crusader stronghold with breathtaking views.

Arrive at Wadi Musa, adjacent to Petra, by nightfall, gearing up for an unforgettable visit the following day.

Day 3: Petra – The Enigmatic City of Rock

Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is Jordan’s masterpiece—carved over 2,000 years ago from the rose-hued cliffs by the Nabataeans, it mesmerizes every visitor.

Must-Do:

  • Stroll through the narrow Siq canyon to glimpse the magnificent Treasury (Al-Khazneh).

  • Ascend to the Monastery (Ad-Deir) for incredible panoramas.

  • Explore the ancient Royal Tombs and the remarkable Roman Theater.

Insider Tip: Don’t miss Petra by Night, where the Treasury glows with thousands of candles—an absolutely unforgettable view.

Day 4: Wadi Rum – The Moon Valley

Travel south to Wadi Rum, a breathtaking desert famous for its red sand dunes, towering rock formations, and star-studded skies. This ethereal landscape has served as a backdrop for numerous films, such as The Martian and Dune.

Must-Do:

  • Embark on a 4x4 desert tour through stunning canyons and rock bridges.

  • Enjoy a sunset camel ride across the golden dunes.

  • Spend the night in a Bedouin camp, savoring traditional music and a meal cooked over an open fire beneath the stars.

Wadi Rum isn’t merely a destination—it envelops you in tranquility, silence, and a profound connection to the earth.

Day 5: Aqaba or Dead Sea – A Day of Relaxation

Conclude your expedition with a leisurely day by the water, depending on your travel preferences.

Option 1 – Aqaba:
Venture further south to the vibrant Red Sea town of Aqaba, where you can swim, snorkel, or dive among vibrant coral reefs and marine life.

Option 2 – Dead Sea:
Head back north to float in the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, famous for its mineral-rich water and therapeutic mud.

Must-Do:

  • Experience a rejuvenating spa treatment using Dead Sea mud.

  • Capture one last sunset over Jordan’s magical landscape.

Travel Essentials for Your Jordan Adventure

  • Jordan Pass: Purchase this online for savings on visas and entry fees to attractions like Petra.

  • Optimal Visiting Seasons: Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) for the best weather.
