With 2025 nearing its end, many tend to ease up on their fitness routines due to holidays and indulgent food. The common sentiment is often, “I’ll begin anew in January.” However, fitness coach Raj Ganpath, who has dedicating over 17 years to the fitness industry, emphasizes that these last six weeks are crucial. In a recent Instagram post from November 17, he proposes a straightforward strategy to help individuals manage their weight and step into the new year feeling healthy and empowered.
According to Ganpath, a complex diet or strenuous exercise regimen isn’t required. His main objective is clear: to avoid any weight gain before year's end. By successfully managing weight during this period, people can transition into January without the burden of guilt or starting from scratch. Instead, they can feel energized and motivated.
To achieve this, he outlines five attainable steps that anyone can incorporate. The first step involves exercising 20 times in the next six weeks—approximately three workouts weekly, feasible even for the busiest of schedules. The second recommends walking between 8,000 and 10,000 steps daily, which can easily be accomplished in short bursts, like going for walks in the morning, at lunch, or after dinner to keep active.
The third step addresses eating habits, suggesting that each meal should contain one protein source and one vegetable, preferably non-oily and lightly prepared. These simple meals ensure satiety without excessive calories. In the fourth step, he advises against overeating; it’s beneficial to eat slightly less or stop when feeling comfortably full.
The last step encourages regular weigh-ins. Ganpath asserts that monitoring weight daily or every few days heightens awareness of body changes, allowing individuals to adjust early if necessary. This practice fosters responsibility, helping maintain routine consistency.
When adhered to, Ganpath believes these five steps can profoundly impact one's fitness, enabling individuals to enter 2026 lighter and more adept at managing their health. Rather than entering the new year burdened with the pressure to lose weight, they can embrace it with a positive outlook. His message underscores the power of taking small actions rather than waiting for a perfect moment or the new year.
This encouraging advice resonates with many, particularly as weight management during the holidays can be challenging. The approach is straightforward, practical, and achievable in a home setting. Rather than striving for drastic changes, Ganpath promotes maintaining balance and ensuring progress isn’t lost. With his 17 years of expertise, many have found his insights motivating and relatable.
