New Emergency Centre Launched in Al Dhafra by ADCMC

New Emergency Centre Launched in Al Dhafra by ADCMC

Post by : Badri Ariffin

The Abu Dhabi Centre for Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management (ADCMC) has inaugurated a Coordination and Monitoring Centre in the Al Dhafra Region to bolster emergency response and preparedness.

As one of the largest and most significant regions in Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra's new centre aims to ensure quicker and more efficient reactions to emergencies, enhancing ADCMC's operational presence while improving coordination throughout the region.

This initiative is part of ADCMC’s comprehensive strategy to elevate crisis readiness across the emirate, tailored to the specific geographical and environmental nuances of each area.

His Excellency Dr Abdulla Hamarain Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of the Response and Recovery Sector at ADCMC, noted that this development represents a vital strategic advancement. He emphasized that Al Dhafra’s vastness and ecological variety necessitate a tailored approach to emergency preparedness and collaboration.

Dr Al Dhaheri further remarked that this initiative signifies a shift from a completely centralized response framework to a more decentralized system, positioning resources closer to areas where incidents may occur. This model fosters quicker decision-making and on-site response efficiency.

The establishment of this centre also has implications for ADCMC’s overarching objective to create a cohesive and adaptable crisis management system, promoting collaboration with partners and stakeholders to elevate Abu Dhabi's readiness to secure its citizens, infrastructure, and economy against potential emergencies and disasters.
