The excitement for FIFA World Cup 26 has grown further with the official launch of the adidas TRIONDA, the tournament’s official match ball. This year, the World Cup is historic as it will be jointly hosted by three nations – Canada, Mexico, and the United States – for the first time, and the TRIONDA reflects this unique collaboration. The name “TRIONDA” translates from Spanish as “three waves,” symbolizing the unity of the three host countries.
The ball showcases a vibrant red, green, and blue color scheme, representing the flags and spirit of Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Its innovative four-panel construction features fluid geometry, designed to mirror the waves referenced in the ball’s name. At the center, the panels form a triangle, a tribute to the historic cooperation of the three nations.
Designed with performance in mind, TRIONDA incorporates deep seams within its panels to enhance in-flight stability. This ensures that the ball travels smoothly through the air while maintaining consistent drag. The ball also features embossed icons that improve grip, especially during wet or humid conditions, allowing players to strike, pass, and dribble more confidently.

TRIONDA comes equipped with advanced connected ball technology. A high-speed 500Hz motion sensor chip embedded within the ball tracks its every movement. This data is sent in real time to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system, assisting officials in making precise decisions, including critical offside calls.
The introduction of the TRIONDA match ball marks an important milestone in FIFA World Cup 26, blending innovation, performance, and symbolism as players prepare to compete on football’s grandest stage
