ADNOC Gas Secures Historic Dividend Following Successful 2025

ADNOC Gas Secures Historic Dividend Following Successful 2025

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Abu Dhabi: During its recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), ADNOC Gas plc confirmed shareholder approval for all agenda items, including an impressive record dividend of $3.584 billion for the year 2025. A final distribution of $896 million is set for May 2026.

Outstanding Financial Performance in 2025

Despite a 14% drop in average Brent crude prices to $69 per barrel, ADNOC Gas achieved a remarkable net income of $5.2 billion in 2025. This strong performance illustrates the company's robust business model and solid domestic gas segment.

The domestic gas sector recorded a 10% year-on-year EBITDA growth, attributed to:

  • A 4% uptick in sales volumes

  • Enhanced commercial agreements

Strategic Growth and Market Expansion

ADNOC Gas bolstered its position in global capital markets by executing the largest secondary share offering in UAE and ADX history, amassing $2.84 billion through the sale of 3.1 billion shares.

Following this achievement, ADNOC Gas was added to:

  • MSCI Emerging Markets Index

  • FTSE Emerging Index

This inclusion attracted over $750 million in passive investment inflows, diversifying its global investor portfolio.

Dividend Policy and Future Outlook

ADNOC Gas has set an ambitious target of $24.4 billion in dividends from 2025 to 2030, boasting a policy of 5% annual dividend growth.

To enhance shareholder returns, they will transition to quarterly dividend payments starting Q3 2025, ensuring more regular and visible distributions.

The total dividend allocation for 2025 includes:

  • $1.792 billion interim dividend (September 2025)

  • $896 million quarterly dividend (December 2025)

  • $896 million final dividend (May 2026)

Habshan Incident Update

The company addressed an incident at its Habshan gas processing complex, caused by falling debris from a successful air defense operation.

Unfortunately, one contractor lost their life, and several others sustained injuries during the evacuation. ADNOC Gas confirmed that:

  • The impacted area has been secured and isolated

  • Gas supply persists unaffected through other sites

  • A detailed damage assessment is in progress

Chairman Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and wishes for a swift recovery for the injured.

Leadership Statement

Dr. Al Jaber emphasized that ADNOC Gas has achieved record results amidst a swiftly transforming global energy landscape, propelled by increasing electricity needs, industrial expansion, and AI-driven technologies.

He stressed the ongoing importance of natural gas for economic progression and digital infrastructure, positioning ADNOC Gas as a reliable and cost-effective energy supplier for both the UAE and beyond.
