The Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) has achieved international acclaim by capturing the Bronze Award in the “Best Fan Engagement Programme” category at the renowned Sports Business Awards. This accolade underscores the Council’s creative approaches in connecting with audiences and crafting unforgettable fan experiences.
Presented in London at Old Billingsgate, the award ceremony was graced by Nasser Al Zaabi, Executive Director of the Strategic Affairs Sector at ADSC. This recognition follows the fourth edition of the Spartan World Championship, which took place from 28th November to 1st December 2024, where ADSC displayed its commitment to offering premier sporting events.
ADSC’s fan engagement initiatives aim to transform onlookers into active participants. Reflecting on this honor, Nasser Al Zaabi stated, “Receiving the Bronze Award for Best Fan Engagement Programme signifies our commitment to enhance audience experiences. The fourth edition of the Spartan World Championship took place at Al Wathba Desert in Abu Dhabi and was organized by ADSC in collaboration with Spartan, a leading name in endurance and obstacle course racing. This championship is a key global competition in physical endurance, bringing together over 6,500 participants from more than 80 countries.
Through events like this, ADSC consistently works on attracting major international sporting contests to the emirate.
