Ajman Conducts Over 2,000 Inspections to Enhance Public Health in Q1 2026

Ajman Conducts Over 2,000 Inspections to Enhance Public Health in Q1 2026

Post by : Badri Ariffin

In alignment with the Ajman Vision 2030, the Department of Municipality and Planning in Ajman is actively enhancing its public health framework through rigorous inspections, awareness initiatives, and advanced monitoring systems. The aim is to foster a healthier community with the aid of skilled national teams and modern technology.

Comprehensive Inspection Efforts

During the first quarter of 2026, the Public Health Directorate conducted a remarkable total of 2,153 inspections. This comprised 1,577 visits to food establishments and 576 assessments of health facilities throughout the emirate, demonstrating effective planning with 60 organized inspection schemes.

Strong Compliance Rates and Training Initiatives

The municipality revealed that 1,369 establishments attained commendable compliance ratings during this timeframe, indicative of increased awareness and dedication to health regulations.

To bolster these efforts, authorities implemented 37,104 training sessions for personnel in food and health sectors, reinforcing a solid health culture and minimizing violations across various establishments.

Innovative Smart Systems for Inspections

The introduction of the “Raqeeb” smart system by Ajman Municipality has significantly revamped the inspection process. This system aids in the organization of visits, management of inspectors, optimization of travel paths, and digital documentation of field data, thereby enhancing transparency and uniformity in inspection outcomes.

Increase in Pest Control Service Requests

The pest control services experienced a notable surge, with service requests reaching 4,433 in Q1 2026, up from 3,828 during the same period last year, reflecting a 13.65% increase.

Total inspection and control activities saw a significant rise to 568,309 services performed, an increase of 26.84% from the previous year.

Field Campaigns for Enhanced Awareness

The department undertook 786 field campaigns across residential regions, labor accommodations, and various institutions, which included awareness initiatives, rainy-season preventative campaigns, and training for pest control firms.

Through these endeavors, they managed to curtail disease-spreading pests, speed up response times, mitigate health risks, and enhance customer contentment across the emirate.

Positive Public Health Outcomes

Officials attested that these collaborative efforts have improved pest management, lowered health-related incident rates, and strengthened emergency preparedness and response procedures.

Encouraging Community Involvement

Ajman Municipality has called on residents to contribute to public health programs by reporting concerns through the Ajman Contact Centre at 80070, operational 24/7. This initiative improves response times and bolsters community safety.
