The Ajman Municipality and Planning Department has issued 778 building completion certifications in the first quarter of 2026, an impressive rise of 26.9% from 613 certificates issued in the same timeframe in 2025.
This remarkable growth underscores the ongoing development in Ajman’s construction sector and aligns with the emirate’s ambition for complete urban evolution as set out in Ajman Vision 2030.
Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector, emphasized that this increase showcases the vibrant activity within the building industry. He noted that Ajman is enhancing its appeal as a preferred choice for both investment and living, backed by its modern infrastructure and favorable regulations.
He also assured that all completion certifications are issued only after thorough verification of projects meeting the necessary building requirements, safety standards, and technical specs. This is coordinated with relevant authorities to ensure sustainable and high-quality developments.
Engineer Ahmed Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director of the Buildings Department, mentioned that the department is continuously innovating its systems and streamlining processes to deliver faster and more effective services. A variety of application channels have been introduced to expedite approvals and enhance client satisfaction.
He highlighted that a completion certificate is awarded only after the construction meets all approved plans and engineering standards. Additionally, he acknowledged the significant role of contractors and consultancy firms in ensuring quality maintenance.
Data indicates that the eastern sector led in completion certifications in Q1 2026, with the central sector and city center also experiencing a series of high-caliber projects, reflecting balanced urban growth throughout Ajman.
