200 Riders Gear Up for the AlUla Endurance Cup Across 12 Nations

This Saturday, the stunning AlUla Governorate will welcome the Olympic and Paralympic Committee Endurance Cup at the scenic AlFursan Equestrian Village. Around 200 accomplished riders, both male and female, from 12 diverse countries will compete.

Organized through a collaboration between the Royal Commission for AlUla and the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation, the competition includes a challenging 120-kilometer main race (CEI2*) split into four stages, an international 100-kilometer race (CEI1*), along with two local events over distances of 40 and 80 kilometers.

Participants will undergo veterinary inspections of their horses on Friday, followed by an essential briefing for riders concerning race rules. The first competitions will commence at dawn on Saturday.

AlUla has garnered a global reputation for its endurance races, celebrated for their superior organization, breathtaking natural vistas, and a rich equestrian heritage.

The event draws elite riders worldwide, providing a platform to challenge their skills in demanding terrains while soaking in AlUla’s stunning landscapes.

The Endurance Cup highlights not only sporting excellence but also fosters international equestrian relations and cultural exchanges among the nations involved.
