Abu Dhabi, UAE – The vibrant world of anime is set to take over Manarat Al Saadiyat once again as the second edition of Animenia returns from February 11 to 15, 2026, promising five days of anime, music, gaming, and cultural celebration.
Following the success of its debut, this year’s Animenia will transport visitors into Neo-Tokyo, offering a dazzling experience that merges creativity, technology, and nostalgia. The festival will bring beloved anime universes to life through full-scale scene recreations, interactive gaming zones, and live performances that pay homage to Japanese pop culture.
From J-Pop shows and Anisong concerts to themed food stalls and retail zones, Animenia 2026 is designed to captivate both long-time anime fans and newcomers alike. The event will also feature exclusive merchandise drops and immersive installations, allowing attendees to step directly into the worlds of their favorite characters.
A highlight of the festival is the grand cosplay competition, which invites global participants to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship. With an impressive AED400,000 prize pool, the competition will honor winners across multiple categories, including Best in Craftsmanship, Best in Performance, and Animenia’s Spark Award.
Whether it’s exploring neon-lit streets, discovering retro collectibles, or meeting beloved anime voices, Animenia 2026 promises a spectacular celebration of imagination, artistry, and global fandom — right in the heart of Abu Dhabi.
