Poco is preparing for the unveiling of its eagerly awaited F8 series, with the official global launch taking place on November 26 in Bali, Indonesia. While many specifics remain confidential, leaks and speculations hint that the range will comprise the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra, which are likely the global variants of Xiaomi’s recently unveiled Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max in China.
Design and Performance
Reports suggest that both models will preserve the essence of their Chinese versions, featuring slight modifications like battery enhancements. The Poco F8 Pro is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, whereas the F8 Ultra might integrate the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, promising top-tier performance for gaming and multitasking.
Display and Audio
The F8 Ultra is expected to sport a generous 6.9-inch OLED display, while the standard F8 could feature a slightly smaller 6.59-inch OLED panel. Both screens are anticipated to offer 1.5K resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate, meeting high-end Android expectations. Audio enhancements are reportedly in place, with the Ultra model set to include an additional rear speaker alongside the top and bottom units, enriching multimedia consumption.
Camera Configuration
Camera advancements are a significant focus for the F8 Ultra. Rumors suggest a triple-camera array at the back, comprising a 50-megapixel primary lens, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto lens. The front-facing camera is said to be a robust 20-megapixel sensor, perfect for selfie aficionados and video calls.
Charging and Connectivity
Both models are anticipated to support rapid 100W wired charging, with the F8 Ultra possibly enabling 50W wireless charging. These upgrades aim to enhance usability and minimize downtime for users who demand high performance.
India Release and Pricing
Although Poco has announced the global launch, the specific release date for India is still uncertain. Market trends indicate a potential debut a few weeks post-international launch, likely in early 2026. Pricing information remains under wraps, but the F8 series is expected to rival premium Android flagships like the OnePlus 15, Oppo Find X9 series, and Vivo X300 range.
