The men's category will consist of seven established weight groups: –60 kg, 66 kg, 73 kg, 81 kg, 90 kg, 100 kg, and +100 kg. Likewise, the women will compete in categories that include –48 kg, 52 kg, 57 kg, 63 kg, 70 kg, 78 kg, and +78 kg, attracting elite athletes worldwide.

An official draw is set for Thursday at 2:00 pm via video conference, gathering top-ranked judokas and the UAE national squad as they prepare to finalize the matchups. With €154,000 in prize money and the potential for Olympic qualification points on the line, Abu Dhabi promises to host three days of riveting competition and extraordinary displays of skill.
