Viral Fan Reel Spotlights Virat Kohli’s Low Point — Anushka Sharma Reacts

Viral Fan Reel Spotlights Virat Kohli’s Low Point — Anushka Sharma Reacts

Post by : Meena Ariff

Power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are widely recognised for their strong partnership both on and off screen. Recently, that connection resurfaced online when a fan-created reel caught the actress’s eye.

A Kohli admirer posted a tongue-in-cheek clip portraying exaggerated heartbreak after the cricketer admitted that Anushka stood by him during a challenging stretch of his career. In the reel, the creator feigns jumping out of a window and wiping away tears while chopping onions, captioned:
“When Virat Kohli said that only Anushka Sharma supported him during his downfall.”

The short video quickly gained traction, attracting responses that ranged from amused to sincere. Viewers left remarks such as, “Dhokebaaaz ho aap Kohli bhai” and “Anushka liked this. I think she showed this to Virat.”

Virat’s Tribute to Anushka

This viral moment traces back to Kohli’s emotional remarks last November after he recorded his 81st international century in Perth against Australia. In that interview with Adam Gilchrist, he acknowledged Anushka’s steadfast support during difficult times in his career.

He said in an interview with Adam Gilchrist:
“Anushka has been right by my side through thick and thin. She knows everything that goes on behind the scenes… I take pride in performing for the country.”

The Couple’s Journey

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma dated for about four years before marrying privately in Italy in December 2017. They welcomed their daughter Vamika in January 2021 and their son Akaay on February 15, 2024. The family is currently based in London.
