Arab & African Parliaments Condemn Israeli Attack, Urge Global Action

Arab & African Parliaments Condemn Israeli Attack, Urge Global Action

Post by : Raman

The Arab Parliament and the Pan-African Parliament have strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on the State of Qatar, describing it as a serious violation of international law and a major threat to global peace and security. The two parliamentary bodies issued a joint statement from Cairo, expressing deep concern over the ongoing violence in the Middle East and the worsening humanitarian situation.

In their statement, the parliaments highlighted that the attack represents not only a breach of international legitimacy but also a continuation of long-standing aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank. They emphasized that the international community’s silence has allowed the occupation to continue its actions, including what they described as genocide and ethnic cleansing.

The joint statement called on countries worldwide to take immediate steps to stop the aggression. The parliaments also urged nations to officially recognise the State of Palestine as a sovereign country. They praised efforts by South Africa to bring the situation before the International Court of Justice and acknowledged the firm positions of Egypt and Jordan in opposing the forced displacement of Palestinians.

The leaders of the Arab and African parliaments stressed that immediate international intervention is essential to protect civilians and prevent further escalation. They warned that continued violence and the lack of accountability threaten regional stability and have wider implications for global security.

Furthermore, the statement called on the United Nations and other international organisations to take concrete measures to hold the aggressors accountable and ensure the safety of civilians in conflict zones. The parliaments expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people, insisting that humanitarian aid, protection, and political support must be provided without delay.

The condemnation by both parliaments reflects growing international concern over the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Analysts say that such unified positions by regional legislative bodies add pressure on global powers to act and could influence international policies toward a peaceful resolution.

The parliaments also warned that failure to act against aggression could set dangerous precedents, undermining international law and encouraging further violations by other nations. They reaffirmed their commitment to uphold justice, human rights, and the protection of vulnerable populations.

the joint condemnation by the Arab and African parliaments underscores the urgency for international action. With millions affected by violence, displacement, and loss of life, their call for immediate intervention and support for Palestinian sovereignty sends a clear message: the world must act now to prevent further humanitarian catastrophe and restore peace in the region.
