Robbery Attempt on Armoured Van Foiled Outside Klang Bank

Robbery Attempt on Armoured Van Foiled Outside Klang Bank

Post by : Badri Ariffin

An attempted robbery involving an armoured security van outside a bank in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang, was successfully stopped on Monday, July 20, after security guards acted quickly to protect a bag containing RM82,000.

According to the reported details, the incident took place outside the bank when a suspect approached the security personnel and allegedly threatened one of the guards with what appeared to be a revolver.

Guards Secure RM82,000 Inside Vehicle

The security guards responded immediately by placing the bag containing RM82,000 back inside the armoured security vehicle. They then locked the vehicle's doors, preventing the suspect from gaining access to the cash.

Their swift action helped stop the robbery before the money could be taken.

Suspect Escapes After Taking Shotgun

Although the robbery attempt failed, the suspect managed to seize a pump-action shotgun from one of the security guards before fleeing the scene.

The suspect escaped on a motorcycle shortly after the incident.

Police Continue Investigation

Selangor police are currently tracking down the suspect involved in the attempted robbery.

Investigations into the case are ongoing as authorities work to identify and locate the individual responsible.
