Artemis II Astronauts Set to Brief Media in Houston

Artemis II Astronauts Set to Brief Media in Houston

Post by : Shweta

The Canadian Space Agency has revealed that the astronauts involved in the Artemis II mission will participate in an important media briefing on April 16, 2026. This event will take place at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Joining Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen, the crew includes Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch. They are likely to respond to inquiries regarding their mission around the Moon, which signifies a pivotal moment in human space exploration.

Part of NASA’s expansive Artemis program, Artemis II aims to send humans back to the Moon while laying the foundation for future Mars missions. This mission holds special importance as it represents the first crewed journey around the Moon since the Apollo missions, showcasing a new phase of global cooperation in space exploration.

Media in Canada will have the chance to view a live broadcast at the John H. Chapman Space Centre, with Canadian Space Agency specialists available for interviews. Journalists present may also be able to pose questions during the conference, time permitting.

For those who cannot attend in person, the event will be streamed live on NASA’s YouTube channel. Media outlets can submit questions prior to the conference for potential inclusion in the discussion.

This upcoming press conference is anticipated to attract considerable excitement, as Artemis II marks a significant achievement in space exploration and underscores Canada’s pivotal involvement through astronaut Jeremy Hansen.
