Santa Clara, California – Global music superstar Bad Bunny has been announced as the official halftime performer for Super Bowl LX, scheduled to take place on February 8, 2026, in Santa Clara, California. The announcement was made by the NFL during the “Sunday Night Football” game between the Green Bay Packers and the host Dallas Cowboys, in partnership with Apple Music and Roc Nation.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, is a three-time Grammy Award winner and one of the most influential artists in the world. The Puerto Rican artist shared his excitement in a press release, saying, “What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown. This is for my people, my culture, and our history. Go and tell your grandmother that we will be the Super Bowl halftime show.”
The halftime show will be produced by DPS in collaboration with Roc Nation. Jesse Collins and Roc Nation will serve as executive producers. According to Jon Barker, senior vice president of Global Event Production for the NFL, Bad Bunny represents the global energy and cultural vibrancy of today’s music scene. Barker added that his ability to bridge genres, languages, and audiences makes him a natural choice for the Super Bowl stage and promises an unforgettable performance.

Bad Bunny recently released his sixth studio album and continues to expand his influence beyond music. He is also an actor and co-founder of the sports marketing agency Rimas Sports. Additionally, he is a co-owner of the Puerto Rican basketball team Los Cangrejeros de Santurce. Roc Nation co-founder Jay-Z praised the artist, saying, “What Benito has done and continues to do for Puerto Rico is truly inspiring. We are honoured to have him on the world’s biggest stage.”
The announcement of Bad Bunny as the 2026 Super Bowl halftime performer comes amid speculation about other artists, including Taylor Swift, who has been linked to the event following her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. While the NFL has not officially confirmed her participation, commissioner Roger Goodell previously stated, “I can’t tell you anything about that… it’s a maybe.”
Super Bowl LX is expected to draw a massive global audience, and the halftime show is one of the most anticipated moments of the event. With Bad Bunny’s performance, fans can expect a dynamic, energetic, and culturally rich show that celebrates his music, heritage, and impact on the global music scene.
