Cambridge and TRENDS Unveil 2026 AI Summer Course for UAE and Gulf Students

Cambridge and TRENDS Unveil 2026 AI Summer Course for UAE and Gulf Students

Post by : Badri Ariffin

An ambitious collaboration will give promising young technologists from the UAE and wider Gulf region direct exposure to world-class AI education. TRENDS Research and Advisory has joined forces with Cambridge AI to stage an intensive 10-day summer course at the University of Cambridge in July and August 2026.

Targeted at outstanding high school students aged 16 to 18, the initiative is intended to cultivate scientific curiosity and technical aptitude. Attendees will engage with international academic leaders and industry figures to build the foundations needed to craft knowledge-driven and technology-led solutions with regional and global relevance.

The programme combines formal lectures with practical workshops led by Cambridge faculty and sector experts. Participants will tour AI research labs and innovative start-ups, gaining practical insight into current technological advances. Emphasis will be placed on AI ethics and responsible innovation to help students address the complex societal questions raised by emerging technologies.

A capstone project will close the course, enabling student teams to present applied solutions they develop during the programme. This hands-on element ensures participants translate theoretical learning into tangible projects, sharpening both creative problem-solving and analytical skills.

By opening access to a leading academic setting, the programme aims to raise the bar for AI education across the UAE and GCC and to help prepare the region’s next generation of technology leaders.
