President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has announced a week of nationwide events set for January 2026 to celebrate the longstanding friendship between the UAE and Kuwait. Kicking off on January 29, 2026, the festivities will showcase the strong ties and shared history of the two nations.

Highlighting the deep-rooted connections and mutual values that bind the UAE and Kuwait, Sheikh Mohamed referred to their relationship as one marked by warmth, fraternity, and respect. He reminisced about the generous support extended by Kuwait both before and after the Union's formation.

According to Sheikh Mohamed, Kuwait’s solidarity with the UAE is a genuine testament to their friendship, reflecting the enduring relationship between the two countries. The celebration will not only focus on historical connections but also honor Kuwait's leadership and populace, fostering cooperation and mutual esteem.

National institutions have been urged to actively engage in the celebrations, showcasing the decades-spanning friendship through various events and programs. The UAE leadership aims to educate the public and younger generations on the significance of this enduring partnership and the necessity of nurturing international bonds.

Each day of the celebrations will feature cultural activities, official functions, and community events that underscore the admiration and unity shared by both nations. Sheikh Mohamed expressed gratitude for Kuwait’s steadfast support, underscoring that the UAE-Kuwait relationship is anchored in shared values, trust, and mutual respect.

This momentous event exemplifies the UAE’s commitment to cultivating a lasting relationship with Kuwait, underscoring the virtues of friendship, diplomacy, and solidarity. It also reaffirms the leadership’s intent to maintain a relationship that is robust, stable, and rewarding for both countries.
