In a pivotal move to advance the social services landscape, Dubai has officially licensed 49 new professionals, who have completed all necessary requirements and taken their professional oath.
The oath-taking ceremony took place at Al Khawaneej Majlis, attended by Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, the Director General of the Community Development Authority (CDA). This oath signifies their dedication to providing ethical, responsible, and high-quality social services in line with international standards.
This achievement underscores the CDA’s unwavering commitment to cultivating a structured and proficient social work ecosystem. The initiative aims to boost expertise, efficiency, and the ability to cater to the diverse needs of community groups amidst ongoing social and economic shifts.
During her address, Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid pointed out that the ceremony marks a significant advancement in solidifying Dubai's role as a global beacon in community development. She reiterated the authority’s dedication to cultivating skilled professionals capable of delivering cohesive and effective services across all societal segments.
She also emphasized that investing in the training and licensing of social workers is essential for fostering social resilience and nurturing sustainable communities. The CDA is committed to providing professionals with modern tools and knowledge to devise innovative, preventive, and empowerment-focused solutions.
With this new intake, the total number of licensed social professionals in Dubai now stands at 1,109 since the program commenced. The licensing framework encompasses 196 government bodies and 864 public sector organizations, benefiting from robust national talent participation.
This initiative closely aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, focusing on the wellbeing and quality of life for citizens and residents. Through enhanced professional standards and governance, the CDA continues to bolster social stability, support families, and foster sustainable development across the emirate.
