According to the officials, the planned launch involves a nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile. No details were immediately released regarding the exact launch date, flight path or the area where the missile is expected to land.
The reported notification has attracted attention across the Pacific region as governments closely monitor military activities involving long-range missile systems. Advance notification is generally intended to reduce risks to civilian aviation and maritime operations.
Chinese authorities have not publicly disclosed additional information about the planned missile test. Officials have also not commented on the specific objectives or operational details of the launch.
Governments across the Pacific are expected to continue monitoring the situation closely. Any official updates from China or regional authorities are likely to provide further clarity on the timing and scope of the missile test.
