The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a cautionary note for those driving on Sultan Said bin Taimur Road (Adam–Thumrait) on Wednesday, 22 July 2026, advising them to remain vigilant as poor visibility conditions are anticipated.
Forecasts from the CAA indicate that vigorous winds will affect segments of the road, leading to dust and blowing sand. Conditions are likely to considerably diminish horizontal visibility in various locations along this route.
The Authority has indicated that these weather patterns could complicate driving, particularly in regions where dust concentrations may rise due to the strong winds.
The CAA strongly encourages all drivers on Sultan Said bin Taimur Road (Adam–Thumrait) to remain extra cautious while navigating the road. It’s important for motorists to stay alert as diminished visibility could impact driving conditions throughout the day.
This warning is applicable for the entire day of Wednesday, 22 July 2026, as the brisk winds are expected to persist, continuing to create dust and blowing sand across the roadway.
