D4vd Taken into Custody Linked to Teen Girl's Death in LA

D4vd Taken into Custody Linked to Teen Girl's Death in LA

Post by : Shweta

Los Angeles authorities have arrested singer D4vd in relation to the tragic case of a teenage girl whose remains were discovered last year.

The 21-year-old, whose birth name is David Anthony Burke, is being held on murder charges as the grand jury continues to probe into the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Officials confirmed he remains in custody without bail, and the case will be forwarded to prosecutors shortly.

The investigation was initiated after Celeste's remains were located on September 8, 2025, inside a vehicle associated with D4vd. Court documents reveal the body was found in an advanced state of decomposition within a Tesla that had been brought to a yard in Hollywood following reports of a foul odor.

The remains were discovered in the front area of the car, with early examinations indicating the victim had been deceased for several weeks prior to the find. The precise cause of death remains unverified, and the case was initially viewed as a death inquiry before escalating to a murder investigation.

Celeste was reported missing by her family in April 2024 after disappearing from her Southern California home. Investigators noted she had left home in the past, but her later disappearance prompted extensive search efforts.

Public interest in the case surged, particularly online, owing to minimal official updates and speculation regarding any ties between the singer and the victim. A grand jury began examining evidence in late 2025, which led to the recent arrest.

While law enforcement has not disclosed specifics about the circumstances surrounding the case, they indicated that this arrest signifies a pivotal moment in the investigation. Efforts to collect further evidence continue as the legal proceedings advance.

Since the discovery of the remains, D4vd has largely stepped back from public engagements, leading to several cancelled commitments and impacts on brand partnerships.

The investigation remains active, with officials yet to announce any additional charges or a timeline for upcoming court actions.
