Dashoguz Velayat celebrated International Children’s Day with a series of vibrant cultural, educational, and recreational events that brought together children, parents, teachers, and local communities. The celebrations reflected Turkmenistan’s continued commitment to creating a supportive environment where young people can grow, learn, and thrive in safe and modern surroundings.
One of the main events took place at the “Galkynyş Eýýamy” Recreation Park in the Shavat district. The park, which was built using prize funds awarded to the district after winning a national competition, welcomed hundreds of families for a day filled with entertainment and festive activities. Children enjoyed amusement rides, electric cars, games, music performances, and a variety of treats available throughout the venue.
The celebration also extended to the center of Dashoguz city, where a renovated public park hosted musical performances and community activities. Newly developed walkways, landscaped green spaces, and improved public facilities created an inviting atmosphere for families. The upgraded park is expected to become one of the city’s most popular destinations for relaxation and outdoor recreation.
Officials highlighted that the region continues to invest heavily in programs and infrastructure aimed at supporting children and families. Across Dashoguz, a broad network of schools, preschools, healthcare centers, and recreational facilities provides opportunities for children to receive quality education, healthcare, and personal development support from an early age.
A major example of this commitment is the construction of a new Maternal and Child Health Centre in Dashoguz. The large-scale facility, designed to serve hundreds of patients, will feature advanced medical equipment and a wide range of healthcare services. Authorities believe the project will significantly strengthen maternal and child healthcare services throughout the region.
Educational infrastructure is also expanding. Construction is underway on a new school capable of accommodating 600 students, as well as a kindergarten designed for 240 children in the Gulistan residential area. These projects are intended to meet growing demand and ensure that families have access to modern educational facilities close to their communities.
Children in Dashoguz also benefit from the popular “Bagtyyar Nesil” Children's Health Centre, a modern complex that combines healthcare, recreation, and educational activities. With sports grounds, swimming pools, leisure facilities, accommodation buildings, and cultural venues, the center offers a comprehensive environment for healthy development. Together with private entertainment venues operating across the region, these investments demonstrate Dashoguz’s ongoing efforts to provide children with opportunities for learning, recreation, and a happy childhood.
