David Beckham Gets Hollywood Walk of Fame Star 2026

David Beckham Gets Hollywood Walk of Fame Star 2026

Post by : Shakul

David Beckham, one of football’s most iconic figures, is set to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, marking another milestone in his global legacy. The ceremony will take place just hours before the opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States.

The 51-year-old former England captain will receive the recognition in the Sports Entertainment category, highlighting his impact beyond football and into global pop culture and media influence.

The event is scheduled for June 12 in Hollywood, where Beckham’s family, including his wife Victoria Beckham and close friends such as Hollywood star Tom Cruise, are expected to attend the unveiling ceremony.

Beckham’s recognition comes at a historic moment as the United States prepares to co-host the FIFA World Cup 2026 alongside Mexico and Canada, adding symbolic significance to the honour.

During his celebrated football career, Beckham played for top clubs including Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, and LA Galaxy, where he helped boost football’s popularity in the United States.

After retiring in 2013, he continued his influence in sport as co-owner of Inter Miami CF, the MLS club that later signed global superstar Lionel Messi, further strengthening football’s presence in North America.

Beyond football, Beckham has expanded into entertainment and business, co-founding the production company Studio 99, contributing to his status as a global cultural figure.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said Beckham’s contribution to raising the profile of soccer in the US and his international influence made him a fitting recipient of the honour.
