One of the most anticipated films of 2026, Dhurandhar 2, is officially confirmed to release on March 19, 2026. Fans’ excitement for the sequel started soon after the original Dhurandhar hit theaters on December 5, 2025. Despite recent rumors suggesting a delay, the makers have put all doubts to rest, affirming the release date remains unchanged.
The much-awaited teaser for Dhurandhar 2 will be attached to the upcoming patriotic film Border 2, starring Varun Dhawan and Sunny Deol, and is scheduled to premiere in cinemas on January 23. The official trailer for Dhurandhar 2 is planned for release at the end of February.
Director Aditya Dhar has re-edited the end-credit sequence of the first Dhurandhar film into a special teaser format for the sequel. This exclusive footage will debut with Border 2 to remind audiences of the upcoming release and build excitement. The teaser will also be available digitally after its theatrical premiere, providing fans with fresh visuals and reinforcing the Eid 2026 release.
The season seems to be dominated by patriotic cinema, with Border 2, Dhurandhar 2, and other upcoming films like Ikkis generating buzz. Both Dhurandhar 2 and Border 2 share a strong nationalistic theme, which studios are leveraging to capture the audience's enthusiasm for patriotic stories.
Border 2, featuring Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, and Medha Rana, along with special appearances by Suniel Shetty and Akshaye Khanna, serves as a sequel to the iconic 1997 film Border by J. P. Dutta. The film is highly anticipated and marks the continuation of patriotic narratives on the big screen.
With Dhurandhar 2 firmly on the calendar and its teaser generating early excitement, 2026 promises to be a thrilling year for fans of action-packed patriotic cinema.
