Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is making waves at the Indian box office, nearing the significant Rs 600 crore threshold. After a remarkable 17-day performance, the film grossed around Rs 16 crore on its 18th day (December 22), bringing its total domestic revenue to about Rs 571.75 crore, as reported by trade tracker Sacnilk.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has rapidly ascended to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever. It recently surpassed Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal, which made Rs 553 crore, claiming the 10th spot among the top domestic net earners. The film has outdone the total collections of major hits from 2024, including Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 with Rs 525 crore and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan at Rs 543 crore. Remarkably, Dhurandhar reached these milestones without the benefit of dubbed versions, which significantly aided the box office performances of films like Pathaan and Animal.
The film debuted with a stellar opening weekend, amassing Rs 103 crore—earning Rs 28 crore on Friday, Rs 32 crore on Saturday, and Rs 43 crore on Sunday. This momentum carried through the week, with Rs 23.25 crore on Monday and Rs 27 crore on Tuesday, crossing Rs 150 crore in just five days. By the end of the first week, it tallied Rs 207.25 crore.
The second weekend proved even more robust, raking in Rs 53 crore on Saturday and Rs 58 crore on Sunday. Weekday earnings remained steady: Rs 30.5 crore on Monday, Rs 30 crore on Tuesday, Rs 25.5 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 23 crore on Thursday, pushing the cumulative total to Rs 555.75 crore by December 18.
The third weekend contributed Rs 22.5 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 34.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 38.5 crore on Sunday. While the third Monday saw a minor drop at Rs 16 crore, the film continues to shine as a blockbuster hit with total earnings of Rs 571.75 crore.
Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh in the lead alongside a strong cast, including Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. Its captivating action sequences, stellar performances, and gripping narrative have captured the hearts of audiences across India.
Based on this remarkable success, the creators have already announced a sequel slated for release on March 19, 2026. With these impressive box office results, Dhurandhar is on track to join the exclusive Rs 600 crore club, further solidifying Ranveer Singh’s status as a leading star in Bollywood.
