Dubai Launches 3rd Create Apps Championship to Enhance Digital Innovation

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Dubai is once again advancing its digital transformation with the introduction of the third edition of the ‘Create Apps Championship’. A part of the ongoing Create Apps in Dubai initiative, this edition builds upon the achievements of the previous competitions, which attracted more than 5,800 submissions and facilitated the launch of over 55 smart applications.

The championship is designed to discover, support, and accelerate the growth of innovative talents, creating a space where technology and creativity coexist. This year’s edition brings in fresh features and funding opportunities, making it potentially the most significant iteration yet.

New Features and Opportunities

A key highlight is the introduction of the ‘Longevity App of the Year’ award, celebrating apps that promote health, wellness, and lifestyle through inventive digital solutions. This aligns closely with the UAE’s vision of fostering a sustainable and future-oriented society.

Additionally, the championship features the Alumni Accelerator Programme, targeting promising teams who seek to develop their ideas and launch fully-fledged applications. Participants will benefit from mentorship, extensive training, and a dedicated hub aimed at accelerating their projects.

Competition Categories and Financial Packages

This competition showcases four main categories:

  • Best Youth App

  • Most Impactful App

  • Most Innovative App

  • Longevity App of the Year

With funding packages totaling over AED 2.5 million, winners in three categories will receive upwards of AED 550,000 each to cultivate and launch their apps. The overall ‘App of the Year’, selected by public vote, will be awarded AED 1 million to realize their concept.

Enhancing Dubai's Digital Future

Dubai is enhancing its role as a global center for digital innovation. With cutting-edge infrastructure, responsive legal frameworks, and a nurturing business environment, the emirate is fostering an ecosystem that attracts talent and promotes innovation.

The Create Apps Championship invites registrations, presenting innovators globally with a unique opportunity to transform ideas into impactful digital applications.
