Drone-Missile Threat Near Burj Khalifa Puts Dubai on High Alert After Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Death

Drone-Missile Threat Near Burj Khalifa Puts Dubai on High Alert After Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Death

Post by : Shakul

Dubai was placed on high alert after reports of intercepted aerial threats near the Burj Khalifa surfaced on social media, shortly after Iran confirmed the death of its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Several unverified videos circulating online claimed to show drones or missiles being neutralized near the landmark, triggering panic among residents and tourists in the area.

Authorities in Dubai acknowledged an aerial security incident and confirmed that air defence systems were activated as a precaution. Officials stressed that there was no confirmed direct strike on the Burj Khalifa and urged the public not to rely on unverified online footage. Emergency services were deployed across key locations, and temporary safety measures were enforced in parts of the city.

The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions after Iran vowed retaliation following Khamenei’s death in an alleged US-Israeli operation. Reports indicated that Iran launched missiles and drones toward multiple Gulf locations, escalating fears of a wider conflict affecting civilian hubs and critical infrastructure across the region.

While the situation in Dubai later stabilized, authorities continue to monitor developments closely. The United Arab Emirates reiterated its commitment to civilian safety and regional stability, as international calls grow for restraint to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
