Dubai Unveils Comprehensive Medical Report System for Individuals with Determination

Dubai Unveils Comprehensive Medical Report System for Individuals with Determination

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Dubai has officially rolled out the ‘Comprehensive Medical Report for Individuals with Determination’, aimed at refining medical evaluations and service provision. Initiated by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), this program is designed to establish a standardized approach for diagnosis and classification.

As part of the ‘Services for Individuals of Determination Team’ under the ‘City Makers’ initiative, spearheaded by Dubai's Executive Council, the program unites various government and community stakeholders to ensure improved and interconnected services.

Key contributors include the Dubai Health Authority, Community Development Authority (CDA), Dubai Health, Dubai Police, Dubai Autism Centre, and Dubai Club for People of Determination, among others. Together, they aim to facilitate seamless service delivery for Individuals of Determination and their families.

Standardized Medical Framework

The initiative seeks to establish a cohesive and dependable medical report system, standardizing the diagnosis and classification of medical conditions. This is expected to enhance accuracy and equity in assessments.

Digital Connectivity

The project employs an advanced digital platform that integrates with NABIDH, Dubai’s health information exchange system. This enables healthcare facilities to securely share patient information.

Medical reports will adhere to international standards such as the ICD-10 classification to ensure global consistency and precision.

Streamlined Process

The process is entirely digital, commencing with patient assessments at designated healthcare facilities. Following diagnosis, a unified medical report is created, concluding with the issuance of the SANAD card.

This digital pathway simplifies and accelerates access to various governmental and social services for Individuals of Determination.

Key Advantages of the Initiative

  • Faster service accessibility

  • Fair and precise medical evaluations

  • Improved collaboration among governmental bodies

  • Enhanced data-driven decision-making

  • Stronger digital healthcare ecosystem

Support for Government Vision

Officials note that this initiative aligns with Dubai’s vision for digital transformation and the ‘One Government’ ethos, promoting integrated efforts across departments.

It also supports the Dubai Social Agenda 33, designed to uplift the quality of life, foster inclusiveness, and guarantee equal opportunities for everyone.

Dr. Atef Abdullateef Saleh from DHA emphasized that this project will refine medical evaluations, minimize assessment discrepancies, and elevate the overall user experience.

Maitha Al Shamsi from CDA remarked that the initiative will render services more straightforward, quicker, and inclusive, significantly benefiting Individuals of Determination.
