AI Workshop at Dubai Press Club Empowers Media Creators

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Dubai: Recently, the Dubai Press Club (DPC) inaugurated a session as part of its new 'Media Workshops' initiative, spotlighting the vital role of artificial intelligence in media and digital content generation. This session, titled 'Artificial Intelligence… Simplified,' was led by Emirati content creator Ebrahim Bolehyool and brought together various media professionals and creators at the venue.

The workshop examined how AI is swiftly revolutionizing the media landscape, enabling professionals to efficiently produce text, video, and image content. Participants engaged in discussions about practical AI applications and the increasing significance of these technologies in contemporary content development.

Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, emphasized that the rapid advancements and growing capabilities of artificial intelligence are garnering global attention. She outlined that the goal of the session was to offer media professionals a straightforward and actionable insight into how AI tools can enhance their workflows and improve content quality.

She further reiterated that the Dubai Press Club is dedicated to keeping pace with the latest trends shaping the media landscape while facilitating knowledge sharing between media professionals and technology experts.

During the session, Bolehyool shared his insights on utilizing generative AI technologies to craft visual content aimed at raising community awareness. He simplified the workings of AI systems, focusing on their reliance on data, algorithms, and neural networks for analyzing information, discovering patterns, and generating content effectively.

The workshop also acquainted attendees with various popular AI tools and platforms, such as Google Gemini, OpenAI ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude, and ElevenLabs. Conversations revolved around how these tools could aid creative endeavors and assist creators in transforming concepts into captivating visual and audio narratives for diverse audiences.

Bolehyool highlighted the importance of viewing artificial intelligence as an ally rather than a replacement for human creativity, stating that the synergy between imaginative thought and AI technologies can yield richer, more intelligent, and distinctive content in the dynamic digital media domain.
