Emirates NBD has entered into a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai South to foster the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and enhance access to banking services in the free zone.
The agreement was formally signed by Saif Al-Ali, the Director of Licensing and Free Zone Management for Dubai Aviation City Corporation, alongside Hamad Mohamed Zayed, the Group Head of Business Banking at Emirates NBD.
This collaboration will allow Emirates NBD to facilitate streamlined processes for establishing corporate bank accounts, alongside offering personalized banking solutions tailored to the evolving demands of businesses operating within Dubai South.
The initiative is designed to ensure that companies can quickly and efficiently access key financial services. This move bolsters Dubai South's image as a conducive environment for business operations and assists entrepreneurs in scaling their enterprises.
Nabil Al Kindi, Group CEO of Dubai South, remarked that this partnership underscores the organization’s dedication to building a cohesive business ecosystem that promotes SME growth, boosts efficiency, and ensures sustainable success. He emphasized that improved banking access will enable businesses to concentrate on expansion and innovation.
Hamad Mohamed Zayed reaffirmed Emirates NBD's commitment to the economic progression of Dubai and the UAE. He asserted that the bank aims to deliver efficient and holistic banking solutions to SMEs and organizations operating within Dubai South, catering to their changing needs.
Additionally, he pointed out that this collaboration aligns with Dubai’s vision for economic expansion by 2033, aiming to solidify its stature as a premier global economic hub.
