In a vibrant celebration of Emirati women, the Community Development Authority (CDA) hosted the ‘Generation Shapers Proud of UAE’ march in Umm Suqeim Park, a key event aligned with the campaign initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
This initiative was designed to foster social unity, enhance national identity, and cultivate a stronger connection among community members.
The event drew participation from Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the CDA, alongside families, mothers, and numerous community members. It highlighted the crucial role of Emirati women in nurturing future generations and contributing to a harmonious society.
Throughout the day, a variety of activities encouraged community engagement, with Emirati startups and small businesses proudly joining in. Visitors were treated to UAE flags and commemorative gifts, while mothers and kids took part in competitions that fostered a festive spirit and national pride.
Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid articulated that this initiative mirrors the UAE leadership’s dedication to uplifting Emirati women and reinforcing family values in society. She emphasized the pivotal role Emirati women play in the nation's development and in instilling national heritage in future generations.
She further expressed that a solid society is built upon united families, and the CDA is committed to promoting sustainable community programs to enhance life quality and social stability.
The CDA indicated that this initiative aligns with the objectives of Dubai Social Agenda 33, which is dedicated to boosting family welfare and enhancing social cohesion throughout Dubai.
The march was a convergence of various community spheres, involving mothers, senior Emirati women, persons with determination and their families, as well as volunteer teams. The aim was to bolster intergenerational communication and foster social solidarity.
The organization of the event was in alliance with several authorities, including Dubai Police, the Dubai Event Security Committee (ESC), Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Municipality, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and Dubai Civil Defense. This cooperation showcased the collaborative efforts of government and community organizations to uphold national values and initiatives.
