Etihad Airways has garnered recognition as one of the leading airlines worldwide, scoring an impressive 8.07 out of 10 in the 2025 AirHelp Score. This achievement represents a remarkable ascent of nine positions from the previous year, underscoring Etihad's commitment to enhancing the passenger experience.
The AirHelp Score is a pivotal benchmark in airline rankings, assessing carriers based on three primary criteria: on-time performance, passenger satisfaction, and the efficiency of compensation claims processing during flight disruptions. This year’s rankings were determined from data gathered from flights between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025, alongside feedback from over 11,500 travelers across more than 60 nations.
Etihad's outstanding performance comes during a period of vigorous expansion. The airline enhanced its fleet to 120 contemporary aircraft, enlarged its network to over 100 destinations, and experienced a 19% year-on-year increase in passenger numbers. Despite this rapid growth, they upheld superior standards in punctuality, customer service, and overall satisfaction.
Antonoaldo Neves, the CEO of Etihad Airways, expressed pride in the ranking, stating, “Reaching one of the top two positions globally is a significant accomplishment. It exemplifies our dedication to timely travel, exceptional hospitality, and supporting passengers when plans need adjustment. This recognition is due to the hard work of our entire team in ensuring a positive journey for every traveler.”
AirHelp's CEO, Tomasz Pawliszyn, commended Etihad's achievement, declaring, “Ascending to second place globally with an impressive score of 8.07 is unprecedented. This achievement highlights their commitment to passenger experience, reliability, and satisfaction. As the aviation landscape evolves, the 2025 AirHelp Score emphasizes airlines adapting to contemporary passenger needs for transparency, accountability, and dependability.”
Measuring several performance facets, the AirHelp Score incorporates the customer opinion rating, which encompasses reviews of cabin crew service, comfort, cleanliness, food, and in-flight entertainment quality. Moreover, the claims processing score evaluates how fair and efficient airlines are in addressing compensation for flight disruptions. Etihad’s distinguished ranking indicates remarkable performance in these areas, reflecting a strong focus on service, operational reliability, and excellence.
This accomplishment solidifies Etihad's role among the premier global airlines, showcasing their persistent commitment to enhancing the travel experience for passengers. With this notable ranking, Etihad remains a benchmark within the aviation sector, demonstrating that swift growth can coexist with exceptional service quality.
By emphasizing on-time performance, effective claims resolution, and passenger satisfaction, Etihad Airways illustrates its commitment to catering to the demands of today’s travelers. The 2025 AirHelp Score celebrates airlines that excel in harmonizing operational dependability with attentive service, an aspect that Etihad's rise in the rankings distinctly affirms.
