The eagerly awaited Rally Saudi Arabia Powered by Jameel Motorsport, marking the inaugural FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) event in the Kingdom, is set to begin in less than 10 days. Scheduled for November 26 to 29, this event will take place in Jeddah, concluding the 2025 WRC season. Anticipation is high among motorsport fans worldwide, as the rally underscores Saudi Arabia's burgeoning reputation within the global sports arena.
Organized by the Saudi Motorsport Company in collaboration with the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation and overseen by the Ministry of Sport, this groundbreaking rally will see 82 competitors from 25 nations participating. Contestants will compete in three distinct categories, covering a total distance of 1,218 kilometers, which includes 319 kilometers across 17 special stages aimed at testing their skills, endurance, and adaptability.
The route will traverse the varied landscapes surrounding Jeddah, guiding drivers through Khulais, Asfan, Thahban, Umm Al-Jurm, Al-Ghawla, and Wadi Al-Mutwi. Organizers highlight the course's fast-paced and technical nature, necessitating accurate driving and strategic planning to navigate challenging areas. The diverse scenery—from rocky paths to expansive desert stretches—will not only put participants to the test but also showcase the breathtaking beauty of western Saudi Arabia.
Leading up to the event, a parade showcasing the participating vehicles will occur along the Jeddah Corniche on November 21. Fans will have a chance to see the top drivers and teams in person, enhancing the excitement of the rally before the competitive phases commence. In addition, participants will experience Historic Jeddah, engaging with the city’s vibrant cultural heritage while celebrating the blend of sport and tradition.
