This championship is fundamental to fostering jiu-jitsu in the UAE, featuring ongoing competitions and strategic initiatives aimed at boosting participation and elevating the sport's standards.
Athletes in this round will have an excellent chance to evaluate their fitness and technical prowess. No-Gi matches are characterized by their rapid tempo, necessitating quick reflexes, decisive actions, and unwavering concentration from competitors. Such conditions enhance their skills and adaptability in diverse competitive contexts.
Abdullah Salem Al Zaabi, the Marketing and Corporate Communication Director at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, noted a consistent increase in athlete participation. He expressed that the growing numbers are a testament to successful efforts to broaden the sport and offer more avenues for athletes.
