The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club has unveiled its plans for the second round of the UAE Formula 4 Powerboat Championship, set to occur over the weekend on the picturesque Abu Dhabi Corniche. This eagerly awaited event will draw both local and international racers, coordinated under the guidance of the UAE Marine Sports Federation and with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

Countless competitors hailing from the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Sudan, Italy, and Norway will converge for this competition, promising a rich blend of skills and expertise. Official practice sessions and qualifying rounds will take place on the Saturday, culminating in the main race on Sunday, where champions will be crowned.

Preparations are underway to ensure compliance with international standards, featuring state-of-the-art tracking, safety protocols, and officiating systems, to guarantee a level playing field. This event epitomizes Abu Dhabi’s rising stature as a premier venue for international marine sports.

Thani Al Qemzi, Executive Director of Team Abu Dhabi, affirmed that the Formula 4 Championship fortifies Abu Dhabi’s role as a global center for advanced powerboat racing. He emphasized that hosting such prestigious events highlights the UAE's leadership potential in the marine sports domain on both regional and international scales.

According to Al Qemzi, the two-day event format is designed to allow participants to excel while also offering an immersive experience for spectators, who can look forward to top-tier racing entertainment. The championship is poised to attract a diverse audience, including sports fans, local families, and tourists, further solidifying Abu Dhabi's image as a key destination for marine sports.

This Formula 4 Powerboat Championship is integral to the UAE's broader initiative to advance modern marine sports, stimulate participation at all levels, and affirm the country’s dedication to staging premier sporting events. This competition aims to motivate younger athletes to take up water sports and reinforce the UAE's presence on the global sporting stage.

With its stunning venue along the Corniche and exceptional facilities, Abu Dhabi remains committed to providing a competitive environment for athletes while offering thrilling experiences for all spectators. The Formula 4 Championship is anticipated to be a thrilling showcase of speed, skill, and sportsmanship, garnering attention from across the region and beyond.
