On Friday, shares of Hexaware Technologies experienced a remarkable increase of 9% on the BSE following the company’s announcement of its status as an Anthropic-authorized reseller for Amazon Bedrock. This significant news was released after the market closed on Thursday.
The stock peaked at ₹538.90 during trading, marking its most substantial single-day gain in recent years.
With this new authorization, Hexaware joins an elite circle of companies globally that are permitted to resell Claude, Anthropic's portfolio of AI models.
This agreement enables Hexaware to not only sell but also integrate and provide support for Claude’s models to enterprise clients around the world. The partnership underlines their dedication to offering responsible and transformative AI solutions.
According to Hexaware, offering Claude directly to clients aligns with its AI-first strategy, promoting comprehensive AI services that encompass model accessibility, customization, implementation, and ongoing support.
Siddharth Dhar, President & Global Head – Digital IT Operations & AI at Hexaware, remarked on the development:
"The recognition as a reseller demonstrates the foundational AI capabilities we’ve established and the confidence our clients have in us. The safety-oriented design of Claude is ideally suited for highly regulated sectors, and Hexaware possesses the necessary expertise and scale to transform this model into effective solutions."
In its role as an authorized reseller, Hexaware gains direct access to Claude models, allowing it to offer complete AI solutions tailored to enterprise needs.
The company emphasized that this new designation will enhance its ability to deliver Claude-enhanced solutions across various applications, including intelligent document processing, automated compliance, enhanced customer service, clinical data summarization, supply chain intelligence, as well as AI-assisted software development.
This announcement has sparked a surge in investor interest. The trading volume soared to 66.18 lakh shares, nearly fifteenfold above the average daily trading of 4.3 lakh shares.
By 1:43 PM, Hexaware Technologies was trading at ₹517, up by 4.54%, while the NIFTY IT index slid by 1.2%, highlighting Hexaware's strong performance relative to the broader technology sector during this period.
