Hrithik Roshan Applauds Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur

Post by : Meena Ariff

Bollywood icon Hrithik Roshan has voiced his sincere admiration for his close friend and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara co-star Farhan Akhtar, as Farhan gears up for the release of his anticipated war drama, 120 Bahadur. In a heartfelt tribute, Hrithik commended Farhan and producer Ritesh Sidhwani for their unwavering creativity, resilience, and growth in the Indian film industry.

“Farhan & Ritesh… my boys, watching you both push your boundaries and achieve new heights has been incredibly inspiring over the years,” Hrithik noted, celebrating their journey of innovation.

An Ode to Their Creative Partnership

Recalling their longstanding collaboration, Hrithik fondly shared memories of their work on the 2004 classic Lakshya. “I remember the effort and passion poured into Lakshya, but the fire I see in 120 Bahadur indicates something even more remarkable,” he expressed. He also conveyed his best wishes to the team, including director Razneesh and the cast, ending with love for Farhan and eagerness for the film's release on November 21.

Farhan’s Grateful Response and Support from Peers

In response, Farhan Akhtar said, “Hrithikkkkk… thank you; your words mean a lot. I can’t wait for you to see the film… big, big hug, man.”

This emotional exchange highlighted the strong bond between the two artists, who share both friendship and a deep creative connection.

Actress Raashii Khanna, who also stars in 120 Bahadur, alongside filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, joined in the celebration, showing support with heart emojis for Farhan’s new project. This moment showcased the close-knit nature of the Akhtar family and their creative circle, known for delivering some of the most inspiring narratives in Hindi cinema.

A Friendship Built on Collaboration

The friendship between Hrithik and Farhan extends beyond the silver screen, starting with Farhan directing Hrithik in Lakshya—a pivotal film for both of their careers. They further collaborated in Luck By Chance, directed by Zoya Akhtar, and reunited in the 2011 film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, alongside Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin.

Their professional relationship and personal trust, forged through this journey, continues to reflect in the mutual respect they hold for each other.

120 Bahadur: A Tale of Valor

120 Bahadur, by Farhan Akhtar, narrates the heroic saga of 120 Indian soldiers at Rezang La during the 1962 Indo-China war. The film seeks to portray not only military strategy but also the emotional power, courage, and spirit of those who stood against daunting challenges.

Produced by Excel Entertainment, co-founded by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani, this movie promises to deliver intense storytelling, realism, and impactful performances. The recently released trailer has already sparked considerable excitement, with Salman Khan praising Farhan’s performance and the compelling premise of the film.

As the release of 120 Bahadur on November 21 approaches, Hrithik’s endorsement is sure to heighten audience enthusiasm. His admiration underscores the dedication behind the film and the enduring friendship that fosters creative collaborations in Bollywood.

This anticipated film not only marks Farhan Akhtar’s return to a powerful, performance-focused role but also embodies the shifting preferences of Indian audiences for emotionally resonant and genuine war dramas.
